Phillips of Paragould announces his intention to seek the Republican nomination
for the District 9 position on the Greene County Quorum Court.
Phillips'
objective as Justice of the Peace will be to facilitate an effective county
government that uses tax dollars wisely and efficiently. Phillips believes in
the importance of a county road system that is well maintained and continuously
improved. “I look forward to serving the citizens of my district by looking out
for their best interest on the court”, said Phillips.
“I believe
that I understand many of the challenges that our county faces. I believe that
I have the skills needed to work with other members of the court as well as
county elected officials and employees to confront these challenges head-on.”
Phillips is
employed by Unico Bank in Paragould, and he has over six years of banking
experience. He is a graduate of Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.
Phillips is
involved in various community organizations. He is a member and past president
of the Paragould Civitan Club. He has served on the board of Mission Outreach
of Northeast Arkansas, and he currently serves as a board member of Main Street
Paragould. He has been involved with the Paragould Regional Chamber of Commerce
for several years, having been elected Chamber Member of the Year in 2010. He
is a graduate of Leadership Paragould Class XII.
Phillips is
married to Kassie Phillips who works as an Administrative Assistant at Subteach
USA in Paragould. They are members of the Center Hill Church of Christ in
Paragould.
